The following is a brief example of how Cloudstor might be used to transfer data to Pawsey. The detailed configuration for various VM flavours and OS configurations might differ.

CloudStor is designed to meet the specific needs of researchers, and one terabyte of storage is available free to each individual researcher at AARNet-connected institutions.

Getting started

Go to the URL https://www.aarnet.edu.au/network-and-services/cloud-services-applications/cloudstor and click “LOGIN TO CLOUDSTOR” to use your host institute's credentials to login. Once your username and password have been verified, you should land on your own CloudStor page.

Moving data

You can upload/download to Cloudstor using the web interface, or via the commandline using either rclone or the command-line version of cyberduck.

AARNET provide a great guide on how to setup and use these tools for data transfer here: https://support.aarnet.edu.au/hc/en-us/articles/115007168507-Can-I-use-the-command-line-or-WebDav-
